ANGIE: My name is Angie, I have lost 160 lbs and what I have gained out of this surgery is freedom. I am free to do whatever I want to do now. It got to the point where I could not physically do a lot and I knew my life was not going to get any better.

Every year I would have to go buy new clothes because I would just keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger and there was no stopping. I figured walking into my older years, 100 lbs or more lighter would be easier on my body than it would be somebody that would be obese and overweight. So, I got on the internet and started looking up and in to detail where the best place to go, who would have the most experience and Alexian Brothers was this hot spot.

The hospital was wonderful. The people at the hospital, I have made many friends and with the nurses and doctors have been wonderful through this whole experience. I would do it all over again if I had to with Alexian Brothers.

The most significant thing has been enjoying life all over again or enjoying life period. I can do things now that I could not do before like crossing my legs, going to amusement parks, running around with children with my nieces and nephew. I roller blade on a regular basis, I hike on a regular basis, I shop on a regular basis.

I enjoy life. Before surgery, it was a little more difficult. Well worth it, it worked.
