Serving the Health of the Community
Prior to his retirement, founder and senior member Dr. James M. Kane had been in practice in the northwest suburbs community for over 60 years. Since then, his son, Dr. James M. Kane, Jr., along with physicians Dr. Peter C. Rantis, Jr., Dr. Paul J. Guske and Dr. Jonathan W. Wallace, has continued to honor his commitment to performing surgeries that conform to the highest standards of safety and precision.
In addition to caring for bariatric patients, the surgeons at our Chicago-area practice offer all aspects of general surgery, including breast, hepatobiliary, hernia, removal of varicose veins, and gastrointestinal surgery. Our practice also has a special interest and extensive experience in endocrine, colon, and rectal surgery.
The Latest Surgical Techniques and Technologies
At Suburban Surgical Care Specialists/Kane Center, our goal is to provide the latest technologies that will best serve the needs of our patients, such as minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, 3-D imaging, stereotactic imaging, and robotic technology. Whenever possible, our surgeons perform minimally invasive procedures to facilitate a quicker and easier healing process. We perform laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder disorders, hernias (both inguinal and ventral), gastroesophageal reflux disease, and colon and rectal disease, as well as for surgical treatment of obesity and breast cancer.
